Change of Registrant

A Change of Registrant is free of charge and can be done with the API ModifyDomain command.

Domain Renewal

Domains can be renewed explicitly with the API RenewDomain command.
Valid Renewal Periods are: 1Y,2Y,3Y,4Y,5Y,6Y,7Y,8Y,9Y.

Deletion Process

Domains can be deleted with the API DeleteDomain command.
There is a Deletion Hold Period of 5 days.

Restores

Restores are not possible.

Transfers

The transfer has to be initiated by the gaining registrar and can be requested with the API TransferDomain command.
As soon as a domain transfer have been initiated it can either be approved ("ACK") by Registrar or denied ("NACK") by Registrar.

Hints:
Ensure that your domain is NOT in any of the following statuses:

• CLIENTHOLD
• CLIENTTRANSFERPROHIBITED

To avoid any problems we recommend that you initiate the domain transfer well before the expiry date of the domain name.

Upon successfully transferring the domain, the registration period will be extended by 1 year.

Transfer without AuthCode

It is possible that a .WS domain has no AuthCode assigned. This is caused by the old .WS registry system, in which domains did not need an AuthCode. If such a domain has never been changed, it even has no AuthCode in the new .WS registry system, and therefore can be transferred without one.
